Latino Caucus Endorses Guy’s Campaign, Citing Experience and Commitment to Diversity in County Government
Democratic candidate for Hudson County Executive Craig Guy is announcing that he has been endorsed by the Hudson County Latino Caucus. The Caucus is citing Guy’s extensive public service experience, and commitment to diversity and inclusion in County Government.
“Throughout his long career in public service Craig has been such a staunch advocate for Hudson County’s Latino population and has a proven record of standing up for the issues most impacting our communities,” said Carmen Mendiola, Hudson County Latino Caucus Chair. “During his time as Chief of Staff to current County Executive Tom DeGise, half of the cabinet leadership positions are held by people of diverse ethnic and linguistic backgrounds, many of whom are also latinos. I’m thrilled to endorse Craig Guy and look forward to continuing to work together.”
The Hudson County Latino Caucus is dedicated to uplifting candidates who will prioritize Latino representation at all levels of County Government, as well as who will fight for issues like quality of life, equal access to services, and public safety. Craig has demonstrated over and over again his commitment to advancing Democratic values, building on his legacy of inclusive County Government, expanding economic opportunities for small businesses, affordable housing and healthcare.
“I’m honored to be endorsed by the Latino Caucus,” said Craig Guy. “Our Latino population in Hudson County is integral to the fabric of our communities, and I am excited to partner with the Caucus’ incredible members to keep building on the progress that we have made and keep Hudson County moving forward.”
Craig Guy has previously been endorsed by leading Democratic elected officials like Governor Phil Murphy, Senator Bob Menendez, Senator Cory Booker, and all 12 of Hudson County’s Mayors, as well as leadership from the statewide and Hudson County Fraternal Order of Police, Hudson County Building Trades, CWA and SEIU 32BJ.
