Craig Guy Will Lead Experienced, Diverse Team of County Candidates
The Hudson County Democratic Organization’s slate of candidates for county offices has officially filed its petitions for the upcoming June Primary Election. Led by County Executive candidate Craig Guy, the HCDO is supporting an experienced, diverse team of candidates for County Commissioner. In total, the HCDO slate submitted approximately 15,000 signed nominating petitions from Democrats throughout Hudson County, a massive number that shows the strong support for the team.
The HCDO’s county candidates are:
County Executive: Craig Guy
District 1: Kenneth Kopacz
District 2: Bill O’Dea
District 3: Jerry Walker
District 4: Yraida Aponte-Lipski
District 5: Anthony Romano
District 6: Fanny Cedeno
District 7: Caridad Rodriguez
District 8: Robert Baselice
District 9: Al Cifelli
“Our slate of county candidates represents the best of Hudson County with an incredible amount of experience and a vision for delivering for the middle class and working families,” said HCDO Chairman Anthony Vainieri. “This diverse group of community leaders will keep Hudson County moving forward, and while I will no longer be serving on the County Commission I am certain that Craig Guy and our excellent Commissioners will continue the work of delivering for the people of Hudson County.”
County Commission Board Chairman and HCDO Chairman Anthony Vainieri is not seeking re-election in the Primary and is running for a seat on the North Bergen Board of Commissioners in the May nonpartisan election. North Bergen Parking Authority Executive Director Robert Baselice is running to succeed Commissioner Vainieri in the 8th District.
