Craig Guy is a proud Democrat
who has the experience and vision to solve Hudson County’s greatest challenges and make our communities more affordable for the middle class and working families.
As Chief of Staff to County Executive Tom DeGise, Craig has built consensus and gotten the job done on major projects like creating the Open Space Trust Fund, expanding Hudson County Community College and leading the effort to provide rental assistance and small business grants within the county during the pandemic.
A strong Democrat, Craig believes deeply in progressive values like protecting abortion rights and voting rights, defending democracy, enacting tougher gun control laws and more. As County Executive, Craig will move Hudson County forward by creating more affordable housing, improving traffic safety with a Vision Zero initiative and building new state-of-the-art STEM and trades focused high schools.
Craig served as a Jersey City Police Officer for 25 years, rising to the rank of Lieutenant before retiring. He has a strong public safety background and knows how to keep Hudson County safe. He’s a lifelong Hudson County resident and a devoted father and grandfather who truly loves this community and wants it to reach its full potential.
